Daniel Kang Won His Case Against LM Entertainment

Daniel Kang had filed a lawsuit against LM Entertainment and today a decision was made in favor of Daniel.

According to the decision made by Seoul Central District Court, Daniel’s exclusive contract with LM Entertainment is suspended and he is now free to pursue his own individual entertainment activities.

The court ruled that LM Entertainment violated the exclusive contract made with Daniel Kang by signing a joint business contract with a third party to transfer most of their exclusive rights to Daniel to said third party. And since Daniel had not agreed to the contract in advance, what LM Entertainment did not only went against the exclusive contract but also broke down the trust relationship on which the contract was based.

It was decided that LM Entertainment should not engage in contract negotiations and should not interfere with Kang Daniel's entertainment activities.
