Continue ShoppingAs much as we love K-Beauty, we can probably all agree that the beauty standards in K-Pop can be pretty stringent. That’s not to say that it’s exclusive to K-Pop, but idols are subjected to this on a wholly different level.
One’s natural face and natural beauty can be looked down on and idols might often feel self-conscious and ashamed about showing their makeup free faces to us.
(G)I-DLE’s Shuhua recently made a post on her Weibo about natural beauty, loving yourself and not letting others negative opinions get to you.
It’s been a while since I shared about my life, so I’ll make a confession.
I hope the family, friends and teachers that I love, and my Neverland, Haku, Mata, can all be happy and fortunate.

I am not a materialistic person, but I’m someone who likes to enjoy life.
Don’t ask me why I don’t like to do my makeup all the time, or do my nails, or dye my hair
It’s not that I don’t know how to dress up, I still look in the mirror and brush my hair and leave the house neatly~ Because it’s comfortable
I know everyone looks for different things, our interests are also different, and as long as you do something you like, I respect it.
I like being natural, and I like myself the way I am. Even if you think this is a flaw of mine, I think it’s precious and important. This is the beauty I want.
No matter how you talk about me behind my back, lucky for me, I stand in front of all of this, facing everything.
I won’t diminish my love for myself.
I’d like to share a few words with everyone here today:
“Never get angry at people who purposely try to anger you.”
“If you have your own strengths and merits, you are incomparable.”

It’s a beautiful thing she decided to share with us. And in honor of that, let’s talk a bit about self love.
What are some of the things you love about yourself? What’s something you’re proud of yourself for?
